Streamr is a decentralised network powered by people the world over. By operating a Streamr node you help to secure the network with your latent bandwidth.
To run a node, you must hold at least 100 DATA tokens in your Polygon wallet. For more information, please visit the Token page.
To stake your DATA tokens, you must operate a Streamr node with an attached Polygon address (wallet). You can stake up to 20,000 DATA per Streamr node by transferring DATA to the connected wallet on the Polygon network.
When you run a Streamr node and stake DATA on the wallet connected to it, you help expand, secure and decentralise the network and get rewarded in DATA tokens for your participation.
You can run a Streamr node on a Linux PC or VPS, a PC running Windows, on macOS via the Terminal or on a Raspberry Pi.
Follow the instructions here: Run a Streamr node.
If you are strapped for time or find setting up a node too intimidating, you can skip the process and use one of the Nodes-as-a-Service providers instead.
The rewards you earn for operating a node and staking is paid out to the node's staking wallet on the first business day of the following month.
BrubeckScan is the easiest way to monitor your node and see if your node is claiming rewards.
The complete DATA tokenomics will be in released at the "Streamr 1.0" milestone. Streamr node operators will secure and relay data on streams associated to Sponsorships. Delegators delegate to Operators and earn a revenue share of the Operator's work in return.
